On Lucifer, Christ, & AhrimanThis page follows on from my more general musing included in the page on the incarnation of Ahriman. Briefly, one of the aspects there considered included the possible identity for Ahriman and mention was made of the Mayan calendar – to which further mention will be made again below. What I intend to explore on this page is not only the incarnated identities of Lucifer and Ahriman, but also their 'earthly' relationship to Christ. In exploring these, it should be evident that an exploration such as this has rather serious implications should I mis-identify especially the (current) vehicle for Ahriman's incarnation. One of the important considerations to be borne in mind is that Ahriman's gifts are of significant value to humanity. These are, however, to be taken in light of fullness of spiritual striving, and not as ends in themselves.
On LuciferFrom the Encyclopedia Britannica, there is this fascinating entry on Fu Hsi:
Strictly, the date of his birth varies amongst various scholars from between the late fourth millenium BCE to the early parts of the third. His approximate date of incarnation corresponds to the beginning of the backwards projected Mayan calendar: 3114 BCE. On ChristFrom an Anthroposophical perspective, it should be noted that Christ signifies that lofty spiritual Sun being who incarnated in the body of Jesus at the time of the baptism in Judea by John. Furthermore, strictly, there were two Jesus children (described differently in the gospels) who each contributed differently bodies for the Christ: whilst one gave up his etheric; the other his physical. These were co-joined in order to hold the divine presence. We are now in a period of time when Christ has returned. His 'second coming' remains, however, in the etheric realm, rather than as another bodily incarnation. Taking Christ's incarnation at the time of the baptism in the Jordan River and his crucifixion at 33 CE depicts his living presence on Earth at the Golden mean of the Mayan calendar. On AhrimanTo match the quote above from the Encyclopedia Britannica, here is its opening take on Ahriman:
Steiner describes Ahriman's incarnation within a human body as occurring 'before even a part of the third millenium shall have passed'. On this reading, what this literally implies is that the incarnation takes place prior to the beginning of the 21st century. Given the image I place below, it may also be worth pointing out a statement (recorded in Faculty Meetings with Teachers, vol. 1, pp.75-76) made by Steiner in response to a teacher's query about Allah:
There have been other indicators by others that some incredibly powerful (non-benign) being was to descend upon the Earth plane at the time of the 1962 Solar eclipse. If we take this incarnation (along with Lucifer's and Christ's) to take place within human bodies already reaching towards the adult stage, then it requires that the human birth to have taken place around the period of WWII.
Christ as the Golden Mean between extremesAlready mentioned on the page on 2012, Christ is shown to be positioned at the Golden Mean on the Mayan calendar timeline with, as presented below, the extremes here occupied by the two adversaries of Lucifer and Ahriman:
There is, similarly, a 'geographical' Golden Mean with regards their respective births can be found by looking at the locations on the globe. This works whether lines of Great Circles are used instead of the (approximate) Rhumb Line used below, and also works if an arc is drawn linking the three locations:
